ICC Institute of World Business Law

The ICC Institute of World Business Law is a think-tank providing research, training and information to the legal profession concerned with the development of international business law.

The ICC Institute’s main objectives are to foster wider knowledge and the development of the law and practices of international business, through close cooperation and discussions between practitioners and scholars and through training and research.

In line with its philosophy of excellence, the ICC Institute of World Business Law offers trainings, conferences and publications on a range of topics related to international business law.

Established in 1979, the Institute was first chaired by Pierre Lalive, then Serge Lazareff, and in 2011, by Yves Derains. As of January 2021, Eduardo Silva Romero, Co-Chair of Dechert’s International Arbitration Global Practice, is the current Chair.

The Institute’s Council is made up of over 40 eminent lawyers from all regions of the world. Through its network of members, the ICC Institute of World Business Law constitutes a forum for all practitioners who are interested in the practice, study and development of international business law.
